Turning your Rides into Vacations.
|
I organize my own tours, why do I want to ride with you?
There are many different reasons that you should ride with Blue Ridge Motorcycle
Adventures; We have spent countless hours doing ride research, riding the roads
to assure that they are the most picturesque and scenic. You will see things that
visitors overlook. If you have planned a ride then you usually spend a lot of time
finding accommodations and dining only to be let down, we take that guess work
away, we have established relationships with all levels of hotels and restaurants
that we know are good so you can relax and enjoy your vacation. When you ride do
you have a support vehicle that follows in case of breakdown? Can you pack
enough clothes for an entire week and all kinds of weather and activities? What do
you do with
the things that you purchase when you travel? Our support vehicle provides lots of
security in case of breakdown and the ability to pack as much as you want.
I am nervous about riding in groups. How fast do we cover the
route? Can I break off from the group?
While we depart in a group, if you want to break off, slow down, and even stop, we
can meet you at the end of the day. Remember you have extra riding time because
you don't have to find a place to sleep and eat. Before we depart on day one you
will receive the ride packet. This packet is chock full of information; our route,
alternate routes and great places to stop.
What kind of Motorcycles do people ride while on a tour? Can I
rent Motorcycles from Blue Ridge Motorcycle Adventures?
The motorcycle should not define the rider, the rider should define the
motorcycle. We welcome all riders, only a passion for the road and the
desire for a unique experience is necessary. We do not rent motorcycles, but we do
have partners that we can help you rent the motorcycle you need.
What is included and what do I need to pay for?
Included in the price is your guide, support vehicle and driver, lodging, and breakfast
and dinner each day and snacks and drinks at rest stops. Items not included are gas,
lunches, incidentals, spending money and alcoholic beverages.
What kind of riding experience should I have before doing one of your tours?
It is no secret that we like to ride, we usually ride between 250 miles and 350 miles
each day. We do have rest breaks on our rides, spaced out about every 2 to 3 hours.
You should know what it feels like to ride all day. We require you to have a valid
drivers license with a motorcycle endorsement for the State that you reside. We
strongly suggest that you have taken the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Basic Or
Advanced rider course. We also suggest that you have about 5000 miles of riding
experience. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding
experience with riding, at 1.877.334.2026
What do I need to bring with me?
We require a DOT approved helmet and eye protection. We suggest a quality set of
Leathers, rain gear and a couple changes of clothes. Sun block and lip protection is
also greatly recommended!
