The Dragon Slayer
If this ride is not on your to do list, it should be. This 6 day 7 night motorcycle
vacation covers some of the best roads on the east coast. Covering the famous
Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will also stop at the Natural
Bridge, one of the 7 wonders of the world. Traveling on the Parkway we then
arrive in Deals Gap which is home of The Tail of the Dragon. We will have an
entire day to run the Dragon and explore the Cherohala Skyway, one of the
great forgotten roads. Our return brings us back up through the George
Washington National Forest ending in Front Royal.
This ride is graded for skilled riders, you must be confident in cornering and be
able to ride between 250 and 300 miles a day. We will cover 1418 miles in 6
days of riding.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is considered to be
Americas favorite drive. This highway covers
496 Miles over two states. The Blue Ridge
Parkway is the most visited National Park in
the US with over 20 million visitors. To learn

Arriving in Deals Gap we will have 2 days to
explore this motorcycling playground.
Tail of
the Dragon is both challenging and scenic.
To assist you in riding more comfortably we
recommend that you check out Jerry "The
Motorman" Palladino's  "Ride Like a Pro".
They offer the
Ride Like a Pro on the
Dragon, a great instructional video that
offers assistance on proper cornering and
riding the Dragon.
We will have an entire day to explore the
Deals Gap Region. This will give us a
chance to branch out and explore some
of the other great roads like the
Cherohala Skyway. This road is often one
of the most forgotten roads to travel on,
and is just as technical if not more
technical that the Dragon.
After our time in Deals Gap we then turn
back north. We will travel some great
roads leading us through the George
Washington National Forest. Before we
end our trip in Front Royal we will stop in
Luray at the
Luray Caverns.

We run the Dragon Slayer twice a year, Book by June 15th for the July 15th-21st
2008 ride and book by September 1st for the October 22nd-28th 2008 ride.
